 MANAGEMENT

Governing Body

The Christian Counselling Centre is under the management of Governing Body, which is an Association  registered under the Societies Registration Act. The membership of the Association is drawn from representatives of the following Churches:

The Church of South India
The Church of North India
The Methodist Church in India
The Andhra Evangelical Lutheran Church
The Indian Evangelical Lutheran Church
The Tamil Evangelical Lutheran Church.
The Marthoma Syrian Church
The Council of Baptist Churches in Northeast India.

In addition, the Director of the Christian Medical  College, Vellore is an ex-officio member along with the Director and Treasurer of the CCC.  The current Chairman of the Board is Bishop Elia Peter of the Methodist Church and Bishop George Isaac the CSI Bishop in North Kerala is the Vice-chairman.  Dr. George Chandy the new Director of the CMC H is an ex-offico member.

The Object of the Society as stated in the memorandum  is as follows:

“ This Association shall have as its objective, the development of human relations, counselling and psychotherapy programmes of service, training and research which will facilitate growth, change and healing of persons, using all available methods of counselling and psychotherapy which are consistent with our understanding of  the nature and destiny of individuals, groups and society as revealed in Jesus Christ.   The programmes will be carried out for the benefit of the needy irrespective of caste, community or creed.”
