Christian Counselling Centre

SERVICES AND RESEARCH

The Centre's professional staff are available for consulation at its out-patient clinic by persons seeking professional counselling.  Out station clients are required to find their own accommodation.  A consultation fee is generally charged; it may be waived or reduced at the Centre's discretion for those with financial constraints.

Research undertaken by staff and advanced students includes work on substance abuse, juvenile delinquency, social change and cross-cultural counselling.  Research papers regularly appear in the Indian Journal of Psychological Counselling.

The Centre's publications are:

1. a) Indian Case Studies in Therapeutic Counselling (5th ed.)

    b) Nalvazhvukku Manavalam (Tamil translation)

2.    Empowerment for Development

       by Dr. B.J. Prashantham

3. Proceedings of the First International Conference on Counselling for Social Change.

4. Indian Journal of Psychological Counselling

An annual subscription for the Journal costs Rs.100 (two volumes).  Requests for subscription along with payment may be sent to the DIRECTOR of the Centre.
