FROM THE DIRECTOR

Dear Friend,

The profession of counselling has come a long way in this country since CCC's humble beginnings back in 1970.

The past few years have seen our lives becoming increasingly complex.  Often, our relationships and emotional well-being become causalties of this complexity.  And we need help.  The counselling profession has indeed a crucial role to play today.  More and more people are now willing to seek the help they need; the stigma is wearing off, and that is a good sign.  There is no need for shame or remorse, for even we in the profession are but 'wounded healers'.  In every situation, no matter how difficult, there is always hope.   Always a silver lining.   CCC has striven to spread this message of hope and to be that silver lining.

Twenty-five years have sped by so quickly.  As the new millinium appoaches, we can look back with gratitude on CCC's growth and achievement, and pledge ourselves anew to the people-helping profession.  It is our hope that all who pass our way will continue to experience a mutual enrichment, which has been a way of life at CCC.
