Editorial

Dear friends,

Here is another newsletter wishing all our readers well. There is a lot of news in here of outstandingly creative and meaningful programmes to various strata of society including the poor and the needy. I want you to know that our staff have been working very hard on various activities of service, training and research which are the three prongs of our programme of equal and interdependent importance. Do keep our staff both those who need to move on and those who are able to continue in your prayers for health and satisfaction and success in their personal and professional lives. Also keep the Centre in your thoughts as we forge ahead with creative new plans, branches and needs.

I would also like to know how you are. Do write and tell us about yourselves either through e-mail or letters. We are pleased to have the emphasis on practical training, as that seems to be the need of the hour. You may have noted evaluations of counselling services such as HIV counselling etc which are pointing to the danger of calling `information giving' as counselling due to lack of practical training. If you know those who are stable and motivated to get further training in Counselling at CCC, do give them our website id : www.cccindia.org  and also let us know. All those who can come to the Lucknow conference are encouraged to quickly register yourselves using the information provided.

If for some reason the next newsletter is delayed, Meena and I and all the CCC community wish you and your families happy Dasara, Diwali, Christmas and New Year 2005. whichever you may be celebrating.

Sincerely

Dr. B.J. Prashantham

Director
